Student Assistance Program
(SAP)
SAP is a systematic team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning. It is designed to assist in identifying both mental and behavioral health issues that may impede a student’s success. The goal of SAP is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school.
Universal Screening
Universal Screening can be conducted on all students in a school and/or classroom to identify potential mental or behavioral problems in youth. We developed and use the Behavioral Health Screen (BHS), a brief but comprehensive, web-based screening/assessment tool, which is a universal screener that provides an instant report profiling psychiatric syndromes as well as multiple risk behaviors and experiences.
Grant Writing Group
The Behavioral Health Learning Collaborative has started a group dedicated to grant work. You are welcome to participate whether you want to find state/federal funds for your own organization and/or work on collective grants with the Center for Family Intervention Science/Drexel University.
